Our background in Garden Design and Planning

Emma's greatest love has always been gardens and gardening, garden design and planning and planting. With many years experience working in plant nurseries and a degree in ecology and entomology she has a good broad knowledge of plants and their uses as well as plant pests. She is very interested in "wild food".

Emma is nearing completion of a diploma in Garden Design with "Learning Curve", with a view to becoming a member of The Society of Garden Designers.
She has experience of designing a number of beautiful gardens, large and small, and following the construction and planting through to completion, with a particular emphasis on a balanced, harmonious design that is always sympathetic to the surrounding landscape.

Derek is a Civil Engineer with a life-long interest in the outdoors and growing, particularly edible produce.
He has an extensive knowledge of groundworks and drainage methods and is very experienced in this area as well as having worked for many years as a Computer Aided Design Specialist. His other experience is as a groundsman, assistant tree surgeon and in garden planting and maintenance.
